About CBI

The College Bound Institute (CBI) is a distinguished 501(c)(3) organization committed to empowering students through a comprehensive suite of educational programs. With over 80 years of collective expertise in educational support, our consultants excel in a broad range of services including grant writing, program implementation, and educational assessments. Located in Miami, Florida, CBI has been instrumental in the academic and life success of first-generation and low-income students across Florida and Georgia, and through extensive partnerships, our reach extends beyond these states.

Over the past 14 years, we have served over 200 diverse constituents, delivering tailored experiences through workshops, seminars, college tours, residential programs, and webinars, all designed to facilitate the college-going process.

Our Services

At CBI, our mission is to provide individuals with the opportunities and resources needed to secure a post-secondary education. We achieve this through targeted programs such as the TRIO Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound Programs, which focus on college readiness, SAT/ACT preparation, and comprehensive application guidance.

Our service offerings also include project-based leadership workshops aimed at enhancing civic participation and planning skills, as well as life readiness workshops that cover financial literacy, resume writing, and career planning. By partnering with local educational agencies, school districts, and higher education institutions, CBI ensures that our programs not only meet the immediate educational needs of our students but also foster long-term success and community engagement.

College Workshops

Students will be able to thoroughly complete college applications, successfully write entrance essays, successfully search and apply for scholarships, increase their SAT scores, and have a completed Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA).

College Tours

During our travels, students are given an opportunity to meet with financial aid and admissions advisors who can help them make practical decisions regarding their aspirations. Our goal is to ensure that students and parents get the most out of their college years.

College Scholarships

The primary individuals that the foundation serves are first-generation and/or low-income individuals at the pre- and collegiate levels. The foundation also serves individuals who are non-traditional aged students with the aspiration of obtaining a college degree.
